Nativity – Eduardo Giannattasio – 2014

After “Madonna and Child” (2012) and “Annunciation” (2013), in 2014 Master Eduardo Giannattasio concludes the sacred trilogy with the light installation “Nativity,” created for the ninth edition of Salerno Luci d’Artista. Here the artist returns to essentiality: the Child, not depicted, is pure light, entrusted to the viewer’s imagination. The scene remains suspended in the fulfilled expectation of the coming of the Messiah, evoked by the comet star that, in the background, illuminates the stylized figures of Joseph and Mary in the foreground.
