An evening of great dance, dedicated to French music: unforgettable songs on stage become stories, in a danced version that amazes, amuses, and excites.
Charles Aznavour’s Dans tes bras closes the first part and, with its unmistakable background music serves as a prelude to Maurice Ravel’s Bolero. The first act is in fact composed of “La vie en rose,” an ironic and nostalgic, joyful, emotional work on the most beautiful French songs (in addition to the aforementioned Charles Aznavour, Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Ives Montand, among others) that earned Adriana Mortelliti the Rieti Danza Award as best choreographer.
The poetic texts are masterfully interpreted by the dancers in the evocative pieces that tell everyday stories. In the second act, Maurice Ravel’s celebrated Boléro in the exclusive version by Balletto di Milano: not just a game of seduction, but the eternal story of a birth, of an inevitable attraction to a similar being, of a multiplication of encounters. Sinuous bodies come to life and weave a dance that drags in the musical crescendo to the surprising finale. Dynamic choreography that grows with the music and culminates in the sensational finale.
