Concerto Gen Rosso in Ogliara
Appointment on June 13th in the hilly village of Ogliara for the concert of the Gen Rosso, a group born in 1966 in Loppiano, a small town on the Tuscan hills near Florence. Chiara Lubich (UNESCO Award for l’ Education for Peace) gave Little Town youth a red guitar and a drum.
From here the name of the group: Gen Rosso, where GEN stands for New Generation and Red (Red) is the color of the first battery.
Always recognized as an international band for the cultural variety of its members, Gen Rosso is composed of musicians, singers and technicians from different parts of the world who combine their professional and human heritage with a ’ artistic experience that brought them on Italian and international stages, in prisons, refugee camps, in barracks, in places affected by natural disasters, poverty or with strong social difficulties.
L’ event, with a strong cultural, artistic and religious call, will be held on the feast of the Church of St. Mary and St. Nicholas, with l’ waiting for the presence of numerous faithful and youth groups of dioceses throughout the region.
The concert on the 13th evening will be preceded, on the 12th, by a workshop held by the same musical group in the company of the infiorators of Ogliara and the various youth groups of the dichonds of the territory.
The concert will be held Saturday 13 June at 21.00
