New Year’s Eve in the Square 2027

Pooh will be the stars of New Year’s Eve in the Square in Salerno. Access to the party organized by the City of Salerno with the support of the Campania Region, in Piazza della Libertà on Sunday, Dec. 31, is free. There will be no seating,nor reservations.
The show will start at 8:45 p.m. with a DJ set by Pippo Pelo, Adriana Petro and DJ Pika. At 10 p.m. the long-awaited performance by Pooh one of the most important bands in the history of Italian music. At midnight a congratulatory toast and fireworks show.
For reasons of security and public order, two access gates are planned for Freedom Square, which will be opened at 7 p.m.
One access gate is placed on the Sala Pasolini/Santa Teresa waterfront side, the other on the Maritime Station side of Freedom Square. Access for the disabled area is provided only and exclusively from the Sala Pasolini/Santa Teresa waterfront side.
Control and filtering activities will be carried out at the gates. It is therefore recommended to arrive in the area on time to avoid long waits. It is prohibited to bring glass bottles and containers and pyrotechnic materials into Freedom Square.
Access to the underground parking lot in Freedom Square, by order of public safety authorities, will be allowed until 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 31. Users who have arrived by that time will be able to leave their cars in the parking lot, which will then be closed and inaccessible. It is scheduled to reopen at 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 1. Disabled parking will be provided in Amendola Square.
Metro and shuttles
Fellow citizens, tourists and visitors are urged to use public transportation (metro and shuttles) or walk to Freedom Square for those coming from neighboring areas.
For those arriving from outside Salerno, it is recommended to use the large parking lot Stadio Arechi ( Salerno Tangenziale Stadium Exit) and reach the city center by metro. The Salerno Metro will extend service until 3 a.m. Jan. 1.
A shuttle bus service will be available from 5 p.m. Dec. 31 to 2 a.m. Jan. 1 on the Arechi-Piazza della Libertà route with stops at Pastena, Mercatello, Concordia.
The shuttle service will connect the ’Arechi Stadium parking area with the event site from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. (last departure from the terminus “Lungomare Trieste Municipio” in the direction of “Arechi”) with 5 intermediate stops in both directions.
Specifically, the 4 buses with a capacity of 50 people will observe the following routes:

Return
Lungomare Trieste Municipio – Lungomare Trieste Velia – Concordia – Lungomare Marconi – Lungomare Colombo Pastena 1 – Mercatello Leucosia – Arechi
The stops will be identified with appropriate signage and the fares applied to users for tickets will be the same as the LPT.
