During the summer, Salerno celebrates its marine patroness: the Madonna who comes from the Sea. A miraculous picture is laid on a boat and escorted by an authentic fleet of fishing boats, ships and boats in a watery procession that touches the hearts of Salerno residents. Amid the roar of fireworks and the reflection of lights on the water, the effigy is carried to the Church of St. Augustine, in a rite that blends the beauty of the coast with the deep spirituality of a seafaring people.
