New Year’s Square

Pooh will be the protagonists of the New Year’s Eve in Piazza in Salerno. L’ access to the festival organized by the Municipality of Salerno with the support of the Campania Region, in Piazza della Liberta Sunday 31 December, is free and free. There are no seats, no reservations.
The show will start at 8:45 pm with the DJ set by Pippo Pelo, Adriana Petro and DJ Pika. At 22.00 l’ waiting for the Pooh performances one of the most important bands in the history of Italian music. At midnight augural toast and fireworks show.
For security reasons and public order there are two access gates for Piazza della Libertà which will be open at 19.00.
A gateway is located on the Lungomare Sala Pasolini/Santa Teresa side, l’ on the other side Marine Station of Piazza della Liberta. L’ access for l’ disabled area is provided only and exclusively on the Lungomare Sala Pasolini/Santa Teresa side.
Control and filtering activities will be carried out at the gates. It is therefore recommended to arrive in the area for a long time to avoid long waits. It is forbidden to bring in Piazza della Libertà bottles and glass containers and pyrotechnic materials.
L’ access to the underground parking lot of Piazza della Liberta, at the disposal of public security authorities, will be allowed until 17.30 of 31 December. Users arrived within that time can leave the ’ car in the parking lot that will be closed and inaccessible. The reopening is scheduled at 01.30 on 1 January. Disabled parking is provided in Amendola Square.
Metro and shuttle
Citizens, tourists and visitors are invited to use public transport (meter and shuttle) or walk to Piazza della Libertà for those coming from the surrounding areas.
For those arriving from outside Salerno it is recommended to use l’ ample parking Arechi Stadium (Exit Tangenziale Salerno Stadium) and reach the city center with the metro. The Metro of Salerno will extend the service until 03.00 on 1 January.
A shuttle bus service will be available from 17.00 on 31 December at 02.00 on 1 January on the director Arechi-Piazza della Liberta with stops in Pastena, Mercatello, Concordia.
The shuttle service will connect l’ parking area of the Arechi Stadium with the site of the ’ event from 17:00 to 02:00 (last departure from the terminus “Lungomare Trieste Municipio” in direction “Arechi”) with 5 intermediate stops in both directions.
In particular, the 4 bus with capacity 50 people will observe the following routes:

The stops will be identified with a special signage and the rates applied all’ the use for travel titles will be the same as the TPL.
